In 1966 John B. “Tutu” Jones was born in Dallas, TX, the son of a Dallas based R&B guitarist, Johnny B. Jones. His father introduced him to the likes of Freddie King, L.C. Clark, Ernie Johnson, and Little Joe Blue. Jones started playing guitar at the age of five and he began his career as a drummer playing with his uncles Barefoot Miller and L.C. Clark, and later worked with Z.Z. Hill and R.L. Burnside.
